FAK Cargo provides end to end services for the shipping and transport of heavy equipment and project cargo worldwide. Our group’s infrastructure of in-house packing/ lashing, transport and material handling, freight forwarding and chartering expertise all combine to provide all round project management with a one point contact and accountability.
When orchestrating large projects, proper budget and time management is what can make or break final objectives. Whether we are handling a series of shipments for a particular project or single piece heavy lifts, meticulous planning and data scrutiny is done before we give customers and partners a budgetary cost. We have plans in place in advance for the worst case scenario, but yet our plans are built to avoid them altogether.
For heavy and ODC cargo we rely on our parent company Mazda Movers for loading/ un-loading and transport. MM has 30yrs of experience in material handling, stevedoring and transport. We have our own fleet of forklifts (2tons to 36tons general and container handlers), cranes and trailers, which gives FAK Cargo a marked competitive advantage for project handling. We have access to simple and self propelled modular axle lines for heavy lift transport, low bed and semi low bed trailers. We provide GPS tracking if so required as well as full route survey and RTO clearance procedures. We handle domestic project transport on a full time basis under our flagship Mazda Movers.
Our network of contacts and experience in multi modal operations allows us to offer barge, rail and road transit options for project cargo between port and site. We also offer add-on services such as chartered engineer certification for turn key projects, commissioning and de-commissioning of machines, health security and environment standards maintenance, line-item verification. We offer inventory management, bonding, on/ off site warehousing arrangements for projects. Our custom clearing team ensures speedy documentation and finding ways around the red tape. We concentrate on the managing of special requirements such as duty exemptions, draw backs and special clearing for government or diplomatic related projects.
At Mumbai Port and Nhava Sheva shallow water berth we offer all round heavy lift agency services and liner in/ out options for cargo owners, ship owners, vessel operators and overseas agents. We oversee heavy lift and vessel side operations and provide survey and inspection services. We also manage on-stream loading/ discharge on to barges and pontoons for projects.
